Reflection
In the multidisciplinary CBL, I worked together with students from different studies like Mechanical engineering, Computer Science, Built Environment and Industrial Engineering to design a fully functional prototype, targeted at improving the health of the workplace. A physical activity measuring device was created that measured the collective activity in a workplace with collective rewards. The multiple disciplines within the team resulted in an interesting team-dynamic and this gave me insights into the perspectives and workflow of other disciplines.
I contributed to this project with my knowledge about design processes, guiding the team to first explore and brainstorm deeply, with this I was responsible for most creative ideas on which our design process was based. For the final prototype, I created the full 3D models for both devices, with custom parts to fit with electronics, which contributed to my development in Technology and Realization.
